If you're thinking about purchasing an RV, you might also be wondering "What kind of driver's license do I need to drive one of those?" In most cases, your standard driver's license will work just fine!

It is always best to check your state's requirements through your local Department of Motor Vehicles. Typically a special license is only required if the vehicle being drive or towed exceeds 26,000 pounds.  Most RV's are under that weight.  Additionally, if you are towing anything behind your RV you may need a special endorsement on your driver's license.

While working with one of our RV Outfitters, be sure to discuss the weight of vehicle so you can reference any weight requirements for driving or towing for your state. It is important to take the time to ensure that you have the proper driver's license so that you can enjoy your RV safely and legally.
