What should I bring the day I take ownership of my purchase?
The day has finally come where you will be taking ownership of the RV you have selected! We call this Delivery Day for our customers. In order to avoid any unnecessary road blocks on Delivery Day, it is important that you bring identification, proper form of payment. and proof of insurance on the new RV.

IDENTIFICATION
Although it is likely we have already collected an acceptable form of ID from you, it is best to bring your Driver's License with you on Delivery Day.
FULL OR DOWN PAYMENT
On Delivery Day all monies due will need to be collected. Whether you are paying for the RV fully, or contributing a down payment because you have financed, those funds will be accepted in one of the following ways:
- Cashier's/Certified Check made payable to Great American RV SuperStores
- Cash
- Debit/Credit Card for $5,000 or less
- Wire Transfer if requested at least 48 hours prior to Delivery Day.
TRADE IN
If you have a trade we will need to the following items to accept it:
- A copy of your current registration
- The title to the RV, should their be no lienholder
- Signature of all parties listed on the title to the RV
It is best practice to send your salesperson a copy of your RV's registration prior to Delivery Day in effort to verify taxes, registration and titling fees.
TRAVEL TRAILER INSURANCE
RV purchases that are being financed will need proof of Full Coverage Insurance. Your proof of insurance must have your bank's name and address listed on the documentation that you provide. Our Finance Team will provide this information to you upon approval from the lender. Those details can be forwarded to the insurance company. The individual buying the RV must have their name listed on the insurance policy. Great American RV will also provide you with a no obligation insurance quote during your closing. If you are paying for your RV in full, we will not need to verify insurance.
MOTORHOME INSURANCE
Whether you are financing your RV through one of our lenders, securing your own financing, or fully paying for the RV we will need proof of Full Coverage insurance. Your proof of insurance must have the banks' name and address listed on the documentation you provide. Our Finance Team will provide this information to you should you be working with us to finance your RV upon approval from the lender, and you will be able to forward this to your insurance company. The person buying the RV must have their name listed on the insurance policy. Great American RV will also provide you with a no obligation insurance quote during your closing.
TAXES AND REGISTRATION
If you are an out of state buyer, we will only collect sales tax if your RV is financed. We will need to collect your lender's information to submit with your title application. If you are paying for your RV in full, your registration packet will be sent to you directly and it will be your responsibility to remit tax and complete registration with your local office. For in state buyers, we will collect sales tax and assist with registration on RVs that are both financed and fully paid.
